Burnwell/Superior Plus Energy The following thank you article was published in the Local section of the September 25, 2011 issue of the D&C (www.democratandchronicle.com) from Burnwell/Superior Plus Energy: Many people in Wheatland are due credit for the recent Burnwell Gas storage facility disaster response. Among them are; Linda Dobson, for her leadership in putting the emergency response initiatives in place, the Scottsville and Mumford Fire Departments and the Scottsville EMS. Other fire companies from neighboring communities (too numerous to mention) also responded and our gratitude is extended to them as well. Due to all of the responding department's exceptional training, organization and leadership skills, they aided in averting a bigger tragedy, due to their timely and well trained efforts.
Sanitary Sewer Upgrade/Replacement The Village of Scottsville is currently reviewing sewage treatment and disposal alternatives to replace or upgrade the aging Village Waste Water Treatment Plant. Alternatives are being reviewed based on project cost, future operation and maintenance costs, Village commitment to operation and maintenance, future Village project expenditures, sewage treatment capacity, and environmental benefit. For additional information and details a link has been provided to view the public information presentation which was held on June 21, 2010.
